Registration includes field trips to several locations in Detroit that showcase a variety of urban issues suitable for participatory modeling efforts.
The Participatory Modeling Field School features three days of hands-on workshops on qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative participatory modeling (PM) methods. Sessions are facilitated by faculty and community partners who are renowned in their fields and who currently work on PM initiatives in Flint, Detroit, and other locations.
Come with your laptop and learn how to use various PM techniques and how they can help you in the representation of complex problems and in understanding what actions can be taken toward their resolution.
